HOW TO GET STARTED – LONG TERM PROGRAMS

LEAD (Leading to Empowerment and Development) is a leadership program for high school students. We provide a supportive environment where healthy risk-taking is encouraged through positive, physical, learn-by-doing activities. Ropes courses, peer relationships, and community service opportunities will give you the chance to learn responsibility, self-reliance, and the value of participating in your community.
We meet Tuesday evenings at the East Palo Alto Boys and Girls' club.

To join our high school leadership program, call our office at (650) 424-0600 and ask to speak with Margo, or email margo@challengelearning.org.

Getting Started (LEAP and LEAD)

  • If you would like to incorporate LEAP into your middle school’s elective offerings, please contact CLC. Our Executive Director would be glad to sit down with you to discuss the program, and the best way for it to reach your students.

  • If you would like to for Challenge Learning Center to recruit for LEAD at your high school, please contact us. A staff member will be glad to give a brief presentation to a class of students, or meet with students during the lunch period to invite them to the program.
