CHALLENGE LEARNING CENTER'S FACILITATION TEAM

Jeff Richardson

richardJeff Richardson, in addition to his role as Program Director for the Challenge Learning Center, is also the founder and Chief Transformational Engineer at Jefferson Consulting, a consulting/training firm dedicated to facilitating lasting change in project teams.  A key component to his success is the integration of experiential team building activities designed to address team dynamics that are interfering with success.His work with project management includes over 30 multi-million dollar project startups for Texas Instruments and Raytheon in addition to development and rollout of the project management processes for both organizations.  As an educator, Jeff is one of the lead instructional designers for Stanford’s Advanced Project Management Program, including courses on virtual team leadership, strategy execution and global program management. His project client portfolio consists of university programs at Boston University, UC Berkeley and UC Santa Cruz – Extension as well as corporations like Cisco, Symantec, Intuit, Phillips Semiconductor, and Apple to name a few.   Mr. Richardson has a BS in Mechanical Engineering along with a MS in Organization Development & Change Management.

 

Terry Nail

Terry integrates a wealth of experience in adventure-based learning, leadership and organizational development in her work with people from diverse backgrounds within schools, non-profit organizations and corporations throughout the U.S. and internationally. She began her career in wilderness therapy and leadership working with an organization called in 1981 to provide recreational opportunities for people of all abilities.   She recently received her PhD in Leadership.

Her vision is to share her gifts of service, enthusiasm, and joy in her work with youth and adults. She inspires and motivates people by providing creative and challenging opportunities for them to discover and share their gifts and talents to make a difference in their lives, families and in the communities they live.

 

Joy Blanding


expertpartnerJoy Blanding is from a coastal mountain community in the western United States. She holds an MBA in Leadership from John F. Kennedy University and a B.S. in Human Development, with a Minor in Ethnic Studies, from California Polytechnic State University. Recently, she has pursued a second master’s degree, in Education, at Cambridge College.

With over 10 years of consulting, management, teaching, and training experience, Joy is a woman who works passionately to improve the quality of training, teaching, and management for the educational and business sectors. She provides coaching, training, and staff development programs for public and private organizations internationally. She has published two children’s books addressing decision-making and unconditional love. Her multi-media resource CD-ROM, The Ultimate Source for Team Success, led her to develop a consulting business called CanDo Productions.

Joy has served as a member of Community Foundation, “Young Readers–Future Leaders,” Multi-Disciplinary Support (MDS), Health Consortium, and Chamber of Commerce, Education Council. She has received training from Quantum Learning Network, World Montessori Institute, eFinity, California State Program for Infant and Toddler Care, and the County Inclusion Symposium Project.

When not working, she enjoys gardening, the outdoors, audio books, and travel. Joy hopes to visit every continent during her lifetime. Four years ago, she moved to the Silicon Valley/San Francisco Bay area in Northern California, where she currently lives with her 13-year-old dog.

 

Doug Bedinger

As a strong business partner, consultant and coach with over 26 years business experience, Doug Bedinger consistently brings individuals, teams, and whole organizations to higher levels of performance. Doug’s expertise includes blended learning, e-learning, change management, process improvement, project management, and customized program design and delivery. Doug’s roles often include consultant, program designer, project manager, process facilitator, team builder and coach. Doug holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources and Organization Development, and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is a licensed professional engineer with the State of California, and is a Certified Management Consultant with the Institute of Management Consultants USA. He is also approved to deliver a number of professional development programs including Ken Blanchard’s Situational Leadership® II and the Stanford Advanced Project Management course: Managing Without Authority.

Clients who have recently benefited from Doug’s expertise include 3M, Salesforce.com, Irwin Home Equity, and Wilson Sonsini, Goodrich & Rosati.

In all his work, Doug maintains a strong process and people-oriented perspective with a focus on helping individuals and organizations become more effective, more efficient, and more human in their pursuits.

 

Paul Konasewich

Paul Konasewich, MBA, is the founder of Connect Leadership which helps leaders to build responsible, high-performance teams. Paul spent several years at Microsoft as a Group Program Manager, working with teams such as Encarta.com and the Tablet PC. While at the MIT Sloan School of Management, Paul studied with leadership gurus such as Peter Senge and Edgar Schein. Locally, Paul is on the Board of Directors for the Bay Area Organization Development Network.

Devin Berry

devinDevin Berry brings to CLC the same playful spirit and mindfulness practice that he has brought to Bay Area youth as a mentor, counselor, teacher and camp director for the past 15 years. Current programs include rites of passage work as well as teaching mindfulness in the schools.
